Yeah, homemade guns are rarely seen in crime, and printed guns are even less common because people tend to go with the cheapest option like you said. I will argue that 3D printed guns can be durable enough to last a while though, I've got ~2500 rounds on one of mine with no issues.

For all 3 people who bought a Zastava Zpap M72 and wanted a way to attach a light to it, the RS Regulate BM-12 barrel mount works and clamps down on the finned section. It's meant for 0.98" OD magtubes but the M72's barrel is 0.945" OD and there's enough adjustability that it won't cause an issue.
