If I were to defy a court order, I'd be in jail, not building a ballroom. Reopen government, swear in Adelita Grivala, release the Epstein Files, restore healthcare subsidies, and fund SNAP.

This morning, I was hit in the face by a baton. I’m going to have a pretty gnarly bruise but we need to remember why this is happening: Trump and ICE are rounding up our neighbors, treating them as subhuman, and shipping them off to labor camps in foreign countries. It has to end.

All of the Gestapo needs to be treated this way. Don’t let them stay in your hotels or come into your stores, don‘t rent cars to them, don’t let them in your restaurants. They need to be hassled everywhere they go. They need to know that the majority of us are not going to put up with their shit.

So Speaker Johnson gave the congress another week off. Paid of course, while they shut the govt down. The GOP has made it clear they have no interest in compromise with Dems. So they will have to figure how to reopen their govt that they closed. And they get another vacation

Deeply disappointed to hear that the Israeli Navy illegally stopped the Global Sumud Flotilla 75 miles off the coast of Gaza. This was a non-violent mission to break the IDF’s horrifying siege and deliver food and medicine to those who need it most.

I'm aware that the President likes to go on television and beg me to call him to ask for troops. I find it strange, as Chicago doesn't want troops. I also have experience asking him for assistance – just to have the rug pulled up from underneath me when execution meets reality.
