At least 32 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli bombardment of Gaza since noon today, Gaza Journalist Maha Hussaini reports

But Israel currently holds almost 4,000 people without charge. Four hundred of them are children. Testimonies from those who have been released are horrific, describing severe physical and psychological abuse while in detention. (3/7)

250 others were serving life sentences in prison for violent acts. And of these, 154 people charged with the most serious offenses were deported to Egypt. (2/7)

As part of the ceasefire deal with Hamas, Israel just released 1,968 detained Palestinians. Some 1,700 of them had been taken from Gaza and the West Bank over the last two years and held without charge. Many of them are under the age of 18 or women. (1/7)
