At PMQs today I raised the impact that the Budget will have on hospitality businesses in Eastleigh and asked the Prime Minister if he would look again at an emergency cut on VAT for the sector.

I spent the day talking to local businesses in my constituency about their reaction to the budget. They feel let down by the Government.

I wish I was surprised. Buried in this Budget is a plan to slash the Digital Services Tax, giving a multi-billion tax cut to US tech giants and the likes of Elon Musk. That's right, cutting taxes for the world's richest man while hiking them for millions of hard-working Brits.

It's right Andrew Mountbatten Windsor appears before US Congress over his links to Epstein and his victims. He should also give evidence to our Parliament. The public deserve answers and full transparency about this scandal.

At the debate on supporting our high streets I urged the Government to take action to revive our high streets, restore pride in our towns and put small businesses at the centre of Britain’s economic recovery. Reform didn’t even bother to show up to the debate.
