We see so many birds in our backyard this spring. In addition to sparrows, chickadees, blue jays and finches, we get a northern flicker now and then. He loves to peck at the vents on the roofs, which sounds like a machine gun inside!

I love this interview with Boots Riley, especially at 10 min when he talks about being an artist for a reason other than just making the art. Also “nobody knows what the fuck they’re doing”. I can’t wait to see I Love Boosters.

Central to the story of THE DISSIDENTS is an incredible magazine from the early 20th century, The Masses. It was so provocative it was shut down by the US Government and its staff was put on trial for sedition. Let’s check out a copy. THE DISSIDENTS will be out Sept. 15.

Digging through some old files and thought I'd share some old Melt posters I feel have different comic book cover qualities. The Firecracker Chicken was always superhero parody/homage. We never used the Smokey Russian poster because Russia invaded Ukraine so we switched it to "Turkey Reuben".

It’s nice out so my neighbor will blast the worst maga rap so I counter it with Sepultura’s Chaos A.D.
