For HIV Vaccine Awareness Day (#HVAD) SIG Associate Director Dr. Dawn Goddard-Eckrich reflected on her work developing HIV prevention interventions for Black women and the importance of ensuring that all HIV prevention options, including a future vaccine, are equally available to all groups.

Using crowdsourced materials from youth in Almaty, Kazakhstan, SIG’s Dr. Alissa Davis and a group of researchers found a 12.3% decrease in HIV testing stigma from pre-intervention to two-months post-intervention among adolescents and young adults in the intervention group.
