This girl, my baby, is 11 today.

As of yesterday, this girl is 18 and I'm flabbergasted. I do not feel old enough to have an adult daughter.

The current and historical policies and systemic racism that affect the Indigenous people of Canada are vast and I strongly recommend that people interested in learning about them do research and read books like "Highway of Tears" by Jessica McDiarmid & "They Called Me Number One" by Bev Sellars.+
