Kalani was taken in by the Baldesions just after the Calamity struck; despite being almost an adult when he washed ashore on Val, he still considered Galuf his grandfather and Krile his older sister. His actual family, he has no memories of and is slowly trying to find clues to his origins.

Sahar is blood related to M'rahz Nuhn of the M Tribe and lived with his parents/siblings before the Garleons stole him from the Peering Stones at a young age. He then was adopted and lived with an Au'ra couple in Yanxia/The Ruby Sea until he came home to Eorzea around the start of XiV.

Seeing the Star Fox demo video and the OoT Trailer really made me happy. I grew up on both games and cant wait to see what they added to both while keeping ties to the originals. Aka: Nintendo gave me a legit excuse for a switch 2. Lol

Art by @floatyskye.bsky.social 🥰 Rubh'a is the adopted son of Sahar and G'raha. They found him in the quarantine bay of Ayz Lla as a clone subject infused with dragon blood. Rubh'a is a very determined young man, stubborn yet warm and affectionate. Canonly, hes about four years old in DT.

Sahar is a big tea person and equally enjoys the eastern and western variants. (He also developed a taste for Radz-at-Han Chai, too.) Kalani generally prefers simple drinks, like hot chocolate. (Its really one of his few sweet tooth indulgments.)

Going to pick up a few things for crockpot cooking today. One of them being sweet potato casserole. I know its not the same as my mom used to make, but I'm letting the hope I can make something similar drive me. 🥰

Just picked up God of War to play for the first time. I have to admit, I am very curious about Faye's point of view, where she is, and how beings like Rue and Frank ended up there as well. Will say openly: Faye is badass, and I can't wait to know more about her/her story.

For Kalani? Give him space and let him do non-hero activities. He generally favors stress cooking/baking and will calm down after a few hours if no one interrupts or tries to speak with him. (Krile knows the signs and will run interception with people before they reach her brother.)

Kalani actually does not talk loud or talk often, preferring limited sign or expressions/gestures/touch. . He suffered a bad injury that affected his voice a few years ago. While he's largely recovered, he's unable to shout or yell too frequently. Nor can he talk for long periods of time.

Dont you just love getting near-harassed by a car dealership because they want five more years of your paycheck? Despite saying NO to at least two different agents about upgrades and blocking their call/text system. Im perfectly happy with my little car and look forward to calling it my own soon.

Kalani? The only thing he really has memories of is living on the Isle of Val with the Baldesions. Some old memories have come back, but nothing that really resembles a birth family. Those few are a scattering of time in Solution 9; all of them are young adult years. Prior? Nothing. No childhood

Sahar was born to the M tribe at the Peering Stones. He was taken away at a young age but has since reunited with his birth family in Stormblood. While he does not live with them, he (and later with Graha/their son, Rubh'a) go to visit as often as they can.

Kalani and Eheeya? They both share the pet name of "babe," though Eheeya likes to use it more often. For Kal, though he often uses touch and gifts in place of words, he likes to call his partner "tadpole" to tease him. In softer moments of affection, he calls him "Sunflower."

Sahar and Graha? Sahar chooses simple pet names: Love, my heart, Raha. After they got married, 'my other half', 'Husband', and (when hes feeling assertive) "G'raha Tlalli". He often favors physical gestures and gifts over words, 8 times out of ten.

Also, I found a gem of a book on Thriftbooks the other day. (According to my Thursday DM) Its the first of the series involving the infamous Drizzt from the Forgotten Realms. I dont know very much about this character, other than he is badass. I'm excited to learn his history! #dnd

Looking forward to getting back into cross-stitching again. I got a Legend of Zelda themed pattern: just waiting for the delivery of floss and fabric. 🥰

Being an adult doesn’t mean you have to outgrow joy. Play the game. Buy the console. Get excited about the trailer. Spend your night saving a fictional kingdom if that’s what gets you through. Life takes enough from people. Don’t hand it the things that still make you feel like yourself.

Sahar actually had pretty decent eyesight. The glasses are something Tataru gave him alongside his first makeover just before the events of Stormblood.

Kalani is good about getting up early, on his own clock. If someone forces him out of bed, he is 100% a grumpy asshole and will hold a grudge until he can get a full mental reset.

Sahar is usually pretty good about getting up though, as hes gotten older, he does need a tea/coffee in the morning to help bump him up. At worst, he'll grumble and hide under the blankets to steal a few extra seconds of sleep. (Or Carbuncle is sicced on him.)

I feel so tired. Getting called out over what feels like every mistake and spelling error despite my attempts to be careful while at work. Ive cried at least once a day. I want to run out of the office. I want to no call no show. I feel like a failure and a disappointment.

I have a canon idea to tie Kalani to his Azem, Prometheus. And it involves someone else that Hades added to the crystal, tucked away under their other signature magics. Now the magic has been awaken, she too begins to stir from her slumber. All he needs to do is Call. And she will answer.

When two members of your DnD group are in XiV and another brings up joining soon while you're talking about stuff in game- Thus making the odd man out go: "Now I have to join too, dont I?!" -cackles- #ffxiv (Yes, one of my Dnd buddies actually did the free trial rant. I'm so proud of him. 💕)
