Foto 0.10.28 is now available for all Apple and Android users. This is a small update, but it fixes bugs related to Posts and Portfolios not loading properly. We are going to continue working on various bugs for the next update.

We are working on an update to 0.10.24, which was affected by an internal miscommunication. We will be adding a pop-up to a specific button that you will need to press once to experience the Android performance improvements. We are currently building this & will launch soon.

Foto 0.10.24 is now available for Android and Apple. Specifically, for Android users, can you download it and report back on two things. 1) Is the initial load time faster? 2) When scrolling the home feed, does it hang up or does it scroll smoothly? Thanks!

Foto 0.10.24 has been submitted to Google and Apple for review. This update will help improve app performance speed, especially on Android. We'll let everyone know when it's officially available. Next, we will be addressing more bugs, particularly those related to Portfolios.

We are going to be doing internal testing for the Android Performance Fixes later today. Hopefully, we'll be able to get this update to everyone in a few days.

We’ve built Foto differently . Many tech startups seek traditional investors as early as possible, but entering that structure inevitably leads down a path of serving shareholders instead of the community. This incentive structure is something we want to avoid. Our goal is to build Foto with you.

We are pretty confident we found the root cause of the Android performance issues. We are running tests to triple confirm and going through QA checks to make sure this fix does the job before we push an update.

We just published a small update (Foto 0.10.22) for Android users that should help with opening load times. This will be coming soon to Apple also. We are still working on the Android Performance issues. These issues have been very hard to isolate, recreate consistently, and find a good solution.

Foto Portfolio Update: The iOS version of this new build with Portfolios and the In-App Purchase functionality, has a bug in it. We have to fix it before Apple will approve it for further testing. We are getting so close. Just a couple more hurdles to overcome.

Portfolio News! We are hopeful that Portfolios will launch within a week. We are close to doing another round of internal testing. Thanks for your patience as we’ve been working on this massive feature. After Portfolios is launched, we’ll be able to get back to more frequent Foto software updates.

We are hopeful that we can officially launch Portfolios in 7-10 days. We need to complete the final steps, conduct another round of internal testing, and address any bugs that arise. After Portfolios, we’ll be working on some quality-of-life improvements and starting the Notifications 2.0 redesign.

We are starting to play around with new designs for the Discovery Page. Today we are looking at this concept where there are main categories you can scroll through horizontally at the top and each one will have a subcategory within it. The idea is that this will give us room to expand discovery.

We are trying to get the Portfolios done by the end of May, but they won't launch then. We need to build the In-App Purchase functionality since this is our first Pro Feature. Look for them middle-late June. We are also working to re-design the Discovery Page and the upcoming Collections Feature.
