Hello everyone! ^^ I'm a passionate storm chaser from western germany. I chase storms since july 2023, so I'm just at the beginning of a long learning process. Nevertheless, I want to share the experiences and footage of my first steps and would also like to get in touch with other storm chasers.

In der Nacht vom 19. auf den 20. Januar 2026 hat uns die Magnetosphäre einmal mehr gezeigt, wer die beste Lichtshow abliefert! Aufgrund eines massiven Sonnensturms tanzten die Polarlichter bis tief in den Süden. Von giftgrünen Vorhängen bis zu tiefroten Schleiern war alles dabei.

Die Sonne strahlt am Abend des 27. Juni 2024. Den Wettermodellen zufolge soll das Wetter bis zu einer großen Unwetterlage zwei Tage später ruhig bleiben. Und dennoch sehe ich auf dem Radar, wie sich in meiner Nähe ein kleines Gewitter entwickelt.

Jörg, Jerome und Erik warteten die Entwicklungen an der Uni in Bonn ab. Gegen 17:30 Uhr war die Hoffnung quasi bereits aufgegeben, als sich einige kräftige Schauer entlang einer Linie westlich von Köln auf dem Radar bemerkbar machten.

Am 29.8.2020 jagt uns eine Superzelle östlich von Verona, die Wolken rotieren heftig. Kurz darauf überquert ein Tornado im dichten Regen direkt vor uns die Autobahn. Schäden an Dächern, aber zum Glück keine Verletzten.

Yesterday's supercell in northern France was very impressive to watch! The wall cloud just got darker and lower every minute... until it all was torn to shreds by the approaching squall line.
