Tried for some slightly Spiderverse influenced shading. After almost three years painting the exact same way I'm ready for a change.

My comic panels rarely tend to work as stand-alone bits of art, but I kind of like this one.

Working on this silly DnD-inspired episode of QE just makes me want to start my new fantasy comic already 😭

Now that the script is done for the final season of QE, my mind inevitably wanders towards the Next Thing. Don't have a lot of time for it yet, but here's some of my early exploratory character sketches!

Posting some more old art pieces. Here a fanart piece I did for @artsangel.bsky.social webcomic inverloch. A da'kor which is a race she created. I made this over a decade ago. It was one of my favorites webcomic series. She was one of the major influence on my art while in highschool.

I'm doing the final round of edits on Immaterial's print edition and trying to decide if I should resist the urge to tweak some of the art...

Quantum Entanglement Season 2 will be returning on the 23rd of September. I've been working on this season for almost a year and am excited to finally be able to share it soon!

About to have an entire month off my day job (long service leave) and I am so looking forward to having time to write my book and do some non-comic art 😭

Had to ask a store owner today if it was okay to take some reference pictures inside his shop and completely confused him, I swear my brain short-circuits whenever I need to talk to a stranger 🫥

I'm too busy for bonus art at the moment due to being 100% in comic panel mode, but this is Kai. Kai likes puns and dad jokes. Second character named after one of my son's classmates, which he thinks is hilarious (for now).

Finally able to use this background I painted as a speed paint demo for youtube last year. Starring Autumn and Kai, new characters in season 2.

Coloured that sketch! I think I will always prefer my artwork with that semi-sketchy lineart feel, even with reasonably realistic shading.

I've been in a sketching mood the last couple of days. Working from model sheets for the comic is great for saving time but since I'm almost never drawing the characters from scratch I feel like my art stagnates a little. Freehand, no reference art is good for my soul.

Probably last big painting for a while, wanted to make it special :)

My son kept insisting that his plush octopus named Mimi be put into the comic, so I finally found a way to oblige. I then had to reassure him that the dog was being very gentle.

I have finished the second draft of the season 2 script. I frequently have to remind myself I'm writing a romance and not get too derailed with the sci fi and adventure.

Still working on Season 2 script (second draft now) so I can take advantage of the free time to work on paintings. As soon as I start with panels though, it's all over 😅 #art #comics

First 10 eps are now completely finished, with all edits and revisions, and uploaded to Webtoon for the launch! 🎉

This isn't really a finished thing; I got partway through and realised it wasn't really saying anything artistically other than 'well, its cute'. But I guess it's good to share failures as well as things that I'm proud of! #art

Great news, I finally finished BG3. Now I can get back to script writing and drawing!

I've been dabbling in 2.5D motion comic animation lately so I'm kind of sad I don't seem to be able to post gifs here (even though gifs are annoying I know)

So since TPR I've never actually tried to design a character that I would consider a personal thirst trap, because I've matured past that. But the other day I wondered if I did make a thirst trap what that would look like now. Turns out it's just modern, slightly dishevelled Jonas. lol
