I am addicted to the Dragon Quest Smash/Grow beta. A game that will inevitably close and no progress will carry over to the full launch in Whenever2026. It's just damn good fun (if a bit grindy in some areas, but as a Dragon Quest fan, we expect that sort of thing.)

The convention has a booth area for "that wizarding boy" and its collective franchise. I get why. There are people who are able to disassociate the fantasy and the world from the author and still hold happy memories. I'm also happy I have seen very little cosplay or merch about it around the con.

Our apartment keeps blowing power because my roommates have two giant portable A/C units and two of us run beefy PCs. Rent here has been very affordable and utilities are included (most rentals don't do this anymore) so its been nice, but this might be the "price" we pay for that affordability.
