Tas count over. Lib, ALP, Greens all end with same number of seats as before. Indies Kristie Johnston, Craig Garland, and David O'Byrne are re-elected. All 3 MHAs elected last year for the Jacqui Lambie Network lose their seats, replaced by one Shooters and two indies: George Razay and Peter George

Here is a statement of correct convention by Anne Twomey from The Veiled Sceptre. "unless he or she requests and is granted a dissolution". Rockliff requested and was granted. His actions were entirely in accordance with convention.

I enjoyed this paper. Kelsen's attempt to map out how democratic self-governance at national level could be brought into harmony with wider frameworks of international governance was admirable - and IMHO is still relevant today.
