Was really happy leaving Swiss in 3rd this weekend with my take on Rog/Thras. Been cooking with the deck for months and finally got it to a comfortable place and it felt amazing. Sadly I had the worst mulligan to 3 in the semis and wasn’t able to recover before Kinnan won.

This weekend I went into the tournament saying “I’m going to play the list that is currently making me happiest” and was able to walk out with a Top 4 on Vivi!!! We all ended up splitting the Top 4 and not playing it out but I’m super happy with the run! Ended 3-2-1

Got back from Fishbowl pretty late last night. What an amazing weekend!!! Definitely going to take some time today to recover and try and tackle all those messages this evening, but if there is a delay, know I’m getting to everyone as soon as I can :)

No major changes to the Brackets this time, but we've been working on clarifying some of the ~*vibes~* around each Bracket, including adding "safe turns" and delineating expectations for decks, win conditions, and gameplay. We've also removed tutor restriction from 1 & 2.

After a rough time on Saturday trying to pilot Semi-Blue into a turn 3 meta 💀, yesterday I was able to bring out the newest version of Kefka going undefeated and swiss and only taking my first L in the finals which felt great!

Update: I kind of fell off the map last week, TLDR had bronchitis and another one of our Kitties ended up the in the ER :/ That being said I am back to taking more client flow, even though I'm not at 100% quite yet. I especially have openings Wed, Thu & Fri evening 1/3🧵

These past 2 weekends have been some of my favorite times as a coach😄 I woke up Monday with multiple DM’s about Top Cuts and wins from my clients and I couldn’t be happier!🥳🥳 I’m so proud to work with so many amazing players and I am excited to see where they all go

Editor was away for the past few weeks so tomorrow we are hitting the ground running with my updates to Vivi after winning the local tournament with it, And my Timetwister run should be up by the end of this week or early next! Thanks to everyone for the support <3

Went 4–2-0 today to Win our local tournament with Vivi!!! Went away from the storm plan and into a more midrange space and it did wonders for the consistency :)

Sadly luck was not on my side this weekend but I’m still super proud of my performance at the largest cEDH tournament to date! Sadly was the only player with 4 wins to not make Top 16 and had an insane comeback run from 1-4 to 4-4. 17/514 is still something I’m super proud of!

Just an update: The ComedIan MtG editing team is riding the struggle bus. Last week’s video is recorded but I have been dealing with a massive migraine and my editor threw out their back so it is on the way… just delayed. Thank you for the patience and understanding ❤️

Made Top 4 of the AGL CCS cEDH 10k this weekend on a version of Kinnan that some called “an abomination to Kinnan’s everywhere” Went 4-1-2 on the weekend only taking a loss in the finals :)

Clair Obscure: Expedition 33 is the best game that I have played in a very, very, very long time. The gameplay is solid (which is always good) but the story, setting, soundtrack and other touches truly elevate the experience to something near transcendent. We talk about it for 2 hours!

With only 90 minutes of sleep in between, due to the 14 hour of combined driving, I was able to Top 4 and then Win 2 events on 2 different decks this weekend!!! Major shoutout to the MA and NJ cEDH communities ❤️ Decks below:

Some of my favorite coaching moments are; explaining a cool interaction to a client, about a card they're unsure of, hearing them hit that epiphany and getting the: "that's sick! No more questions, I'm sold"

Despite the cards letting me down a bit, super happy with my time here in Minnesota. Loved jumping into the commentary booth for Semifinals and Finals with Far North Mtg. Thanks to North Star cEDH for an amazing event :D
