I'm a bit of a #DCcomics nerd, so I found something in the world of video games fascinating this morning. Last night, Epic Games removed the "Peaceful Hips" #Peacemaker dance emote from Fortnite, an item they had just introduced a couple of weeks ago as part of a collaboration with DC.

Hello folks, been a while since I've posted on here. I've been taking a bit of a break from games as life had gotten a bit busier with some other priorities. That said, I am hoping to get back a bit of balance, not just getting back into games, but diving further into my DC comics fandom too!

From the Superman prequel show #Smallville 2006 episode ‘Subterranean’, which aired just a few months after I migrated to the US. I’m grateful when the #Superman mythos serves as allegory for the immigrant experience. It’s a source of dignity in a time and space that often deprive us of it.

This Memorial Day Weekend, we attended Recon 2025, a local community #boardgames con hosted by Project Re3 church in Kernersville, North Carolina. This was their 10th time hosting this annual charity fundraiser! We had a blast — grateful for the hard work gone into making a memorable event.

Played Daybreak (co-designed by #PandemicGame creator @mattleacock.bsky.social) for the first time today. Lost as we learned, looking forward to trying it again tomorrow - it was fun! Our mistake: we didn’t shuffle the cards before playing, leading to bad times with similar cards being pulled. 🫠

This past weekend, my in laws came to visit. We played King of Tokyo, Pandemic the Cure (not pictured), Sagrada, and The Gang together! 3 of us 4 had never played poker before, and my MIL actually liked The Gang more than the idea of classic poker for the cooperation! #boardgames #pandemicgame

I love The Crew but the story elements for this game drive it home in a way that The Crew doesn’t. The water one is a better there, but they can’t compare to how gorgeously LOTR is rendered for Tolkien fans. It’s been done with fidelity to the material, thoughtful design, and lovely art.
