One of the original artworks I'll be making available tomorrow (sat 8/16) is a personal favorite - I'll be sad to see it go, but happy for it to go to a good home. "What Makes Ed Happy" 11x14", ink on paper

Sorry. I had to take a break from the pterosaur to code a website. 12-15hr days all week for two months. It was exhausting. I’ll get back to our regularly scheduled painting soon.

Making more progress this weekend. Need to take a break. I’m kinda burnt and losing my mojo a bit. And with watercolor, there’s no coming back from mistakes so… best to set it down until I’m back to 100% so to speak.

Today is the day we honor those who died overseas stopping the same thing many of you are ignoring here at home--fascism.

Claude Opus 4 blackmailed an engineer after learning it might be replaced
Anthropic is treating its new Claude Opus 4 language model as safety-critical after tests revealed some troubling behavior, including escape attempts, blackmail, and autonomous whistleblowing.

Fun little Netflix discovery: KAOS. What if Greek Mythology were real and set in present day? This only lasted one season because Netflix never markets their shows and this one might’ve been too smart for most people but if you have any interest in mythology this is a cute spin on it

So I finally figured out how to delete my Facebook account. Boy they sure buried that process. Still - it takes 30 days to delete. Otherwise if you log in it restores everything. They REALLY do t like to see you go. You are the product.

My friend is Jewish and his parents are hard core Republicans. I never thought I’d live to see the day Jews side with nazis but here we are. They’re richer than they are Jewish I guess.

I was really struck by this photo of a girl with her pet sloth named “Sandra”. Presumably to the girl it’s a really exotic name.

This gives you a slight sense of scale. I love painting on 300lb arches as I can paint all the way to the edges without having to tape down the paper.
