Awful news today that wonderful Cllr Manjula Sood has died and the city has lost an amazing public servant & leader, and many of us have lost an inspiration and a friend. She was one of the few people who came to my wedding. Some lovely memories, but am feeling very sad right now.

The government says it's not planning to extend FOI to cover Electoral Returning Officers. However, the forthcoming elections legislation will be a good opportunity to raise this issue further and for someone to propose an amendment to change this.
