Had my students play #Clue today in preparation for their Clue(re)do assignment in which they modernize the classic game featuring a setting/cast/weapons of their choice. One group marveled at the older copy I had bought at the thrift store (which is the same version I played as a kid). 💙🎲 ⚡️📚

When I say I've wanted to be a writer all my life, this is what I mean. I made this business card when I was about 7. It's hanging on the cork board in my childhood bedroom. 7 year old me had no idea how precocious this was. Adult me is squirming at the confidence and the lack of Oxford comma. 💙📚

My story "Marco Polo" was published today by Breath and Shadow, a small publication featuring writers with disabilities. In my visual art, I sometimes use these same images: medical technology, ancient carvings and cows. Seeing it in black and white makes me want to make a collage.

Because I think transparency is important on social media (to not fall into the trap of 'everything's perfect and amazing!'): following a glowing review, I received a negative review that found my characters flat and the use of a character's they/them pronouns "distracting."
