It’s time! Ghosts are available in Cairn’s demo on PC and PS5. They’re not all that scary though, we think You can climb Tenzen alongside community members, devs and content creators ghosts, and see what everyone’s been up to. Maybe you can try something new, or race a few ghosts?

Only the few people who have extensively played these two niche game can understand, but imagine... what if a new "Toe Jam & Earl" game was made, but with "Baby Steps", character controller? That would be absolutely insane. I would love to make such a game. Coop-funkotronic roguelite.

Baby Steps and Sword of the Sea are both games where the core experience requires to cross landscapes with a character with a unique controller, but I can’t think of a bigger stretch in game design approach. It’s quite mesmerizing to alternate between both games.

I want to make jokes about Cairn's delay but truth is I'm very proud and relieved we are doing that. It's hard for us to delay. There's nothing more we want than to release the game. Also, money-wise, we don't have much buffer. But I would regret it all my life to spoil all these years of good work.

Woke up at 5am this morning, couldn't sleep anymore. Upside: I finished Ninja Gaiden Ragebound! I absolutely loved it. It's a genuine 90's game arcade experience, from the gameplay to the writing, music, mood (but with modern iii quality). Next up is Shinobi! 🥷

Cairn is going to be something special. It's very unique and has so much soul. Playtests are extremely useful, and they do confirm the game offers a very unique game experience. 🤞

Doing Cairn playtests at the moment, and once again, I cannot say loud enough how useful it is to watch actual playtests. Couple of tips: * 3-5 testers per iteration, don't need more * Key designer(s) watch (-> don't delegate) * Don't answer their questions unless the problem is really confirmed

You don't need Silksong when Silksong was already there (and got dismantled by Ubi wlekrjwl;ehjtlkwejhrtlkewhjr). I mean it. TLC is a really super solid game top to bottom.

Silk Song at 20$ is really not helping the indie industry. It's (probably) strongly devaluating a 2025 game. Of course they are going to breakeven and make lots of profits but I wish they had sold it 30$ and used the extra profits to fund cool games (ex: like Outersloth does) or whatever charity.

Here is our most recent trailer for Cairn! Had lots of fun making it. It's about the FREE SOLO mode, a game mode with extreme stakes where the any mistake can be fatal (no rope, no checkpoint, smaller backpack). I wasn't able to complete the game in that mode yet 😅 (but i've seen people make it).

In 2006, i went to Japan for the 1st time and fell in love with onigiri. Coming back to France, i investigated to import them in France, in train stations etc. People told me « this is stupid, will never work ». Now they have them in train stations and they sell them 4x the price (and taste bad).
