I'll reintroduce an amendment to end the nine-digit tax exemption for data centers in the #Virginia budget. The budgetary gaps for food and health care alone we're going to have to fill because of the Big, Dumb Belching Bear Bill (OBBB) are enormous. Data centers don't need a dime of tax revenue.

For my constituents in northern Haymarket, from VDOT: "We plan to close Waterfall Road at Catharpin Creek to through traffic for a bridge replacement at the end of September. Currently, the closure is anticipated for two weeks between 9/29-10/9, weather dependent. A signed detour will be in place."

This is a phenomenal example of how to cut through all the noise and actually focus on something I always want to see more of from Virginia candidates: talking about specific issues for their districts. For a district that includes Loudoun and Fauquier, John’s fight against data center sprawl is A+.

When the congressional Rs intentionally decided to leave so many of their constituents uninsured because of this recklessness, it fell on the states to clean up Congress’s mess. Tax revenue in Virginia should go to keeping people insured, kids fed and roads fixed, not exemptions for corporate greed.

Through eight months, 501 people have now died on Virginia’s roadways in 2025. Each of the last four years, I’ve offered bills to provide a new, dedicated funding stream for the Virginia Highway Safety Improvement Program so we can prevent deaths and injuries. The Governor vetoed it this year.🧵

During my 2023 campaign, I had tremendous support from donors in district, across the commonwealth and across the country. That led to the Rs to cry “out of state money!” … all while the Governor flooded downballot races with major money he raised from out of state donors. ⬇️ Nothing’s changed.
