Shadow saving Doctor Light was pretty cool. I wasn't expecting that considering how often flanderized Shadow was during this period. Can probably chalk that up to how Sega wasn't as hands-on with the comics at the time (both a good and bad thing; I like how the IDW comics feel more game-accurate).

Okay, so I know this game looks like an asset dump but hear me out. First, it's not. Second, it's a shockingly good survival horror game, blatantly inspired by RE. There's some great post-game modes to unlock and is a fair challenge. No gamepad support, sadly store.steampowered.com/app/1848450/...

Anyway, I will absolutely be one of the lower scores for Absolum and if you need to understand why you can imagine the word "roguelite," realize that the game chops off core parts of your characters' kits so it can feed them back to you as a progression system, and then look at this image.

It's such a shame to see the developers behind my favorite game of 2020 (Streets of Rage 4) make a beautiful beat em up held back by trend chasing "addictive" elements that have no place in this genre. I have no real desire to give this one a try. 😞 At least a few big reviews are calling it out.

Good Vibes Gaming is a weird channel to me since it's so clear Jon is a much more knowledgeable and thoughtful critic of games than anyone else that works there. He's pinballed around a lot of different channels but if he joined one with more like-minded people I think that'd be great.
