I just realized that today is Saturday. 🤣 I have zero concept of time on this trip.

I had my alarm set for 8 am (over here in Cali), and I was excited to sleep in. Of course, I wake up at 5 am due to my sister’s snoring. 🙃

One thing I don’t miss about being in a show is having so much product in my hair all of the time. My hair feels so soft and healthy right now. I love it!

I went whale watching today. This is the third time I’ve ever been and this is the best experience I’ve had. Also, my camera app actually let me transfer some photos to my phone, so here ya go!

I have way better photos on my camera than on my phone, but since I need my laptop to transfer those them to my phone, I will post this for now. This is why we drive and take the scenic route.

Going through the airport on two hours of sleep is definitely… something.

I guess sleeping just isn’t fucking happening.

In recent years, I’ve developed a little nervousness of flying and I have no idea why. I wouldn’t outright call it a fear because it’s not like I won’t get on a plane, or I have to be sedated, but I get a tiny bit nervous now, and I don’t get it. I never used to be like this. It’s kind of annoying.

Not prepared to wake up at 2:30 am to get ready to go to the airport, but… I gotta do what I gotta do.

This is something that really shouldn’t be taking that long, but I keep taking breaks because I hate it that much. Do I know this is illogical? Yes. Do I do it anyway? Also yes. I’m not a procrastinator… but packing is the only exception.

I really HATE packing.

Today we closed Jesus Christ Superstar. Before this show, I was as having a really difficult time with myself, especially as a performer. I’ve always had this feeling of never being good enough, or even just being enough. I was rejected from each show that I auditioned for, and it broke me a bit…

Feel silly sharing this, but tonight after my number I got a standing ovation that lasted for a while. I literally just started crying right there. I did not expect that at all. It’s just that I have worked so hard for so long and it’s really fucking cool to have people finally appreciate what I do.

At our matinee performance during the ending scene when we’re facing out, there was someone in the audience on their phone. We made direct eye contact and I glared at them and they slowly put their phone away in shame.

Highly recommend doing a show with one of your good friends. So grateful to have this talented lady with me throughout this process. We’ve done so many shows together and we go way back. She has been my main support system for this show ever since she found out I was cast. She’s amazing!
