When you live in a place, you want to change it. You work to make it better. When you’re a tourist, you make a mental note of the wrongness and move on. Only later, when I was back in my own bed and in my own home 7,500 miles away, did I finally feel the bruise that moment left.

My speaking client Tessa Hulls' first book, Feeding Ghosts, is the winner of the 2025 Pulitzer Prize. When I first read the ARC, I could see immediately that it was amazing. I told everyone I knew that it was going to be a big book. I am so happy to see it getting the recognition it deserves.
