I have finally finished Pillars of Eternity. What an incredible game. I do feel bad not pushing throw my initial discomfort with the presentation all those years ago. But better late than never. Its an amazing game with a lot of compelling writing and deep world building.

It will always be sad to me how Dragon Age did better than Mass Effect consistently yet it was ignored because... Sci-fi shiny? ME is a good series but it doesn't require DA to not exist. They both can coexist at the same time. Dragon Age can be the old school RPG and ME can be the new school.

I feel the same way. While I don't think Veilguard is perfect or often what I wanted out of Dragon Age it has the right elements at the right moments for it to be what I want out of Dragon Age. Everything involving Solas and that ending is just too perfect.

I have finished Pillars of Eternity's White March DLC. And what a good DLC it is. I enjoyed it thoroughly and really do think it proves that PoE's setting is robust enough to tell more different stories than just the base game. That dialogue with Ondra is really good.

As Mister Bizarre said he is right that engaging in second-hand content is valid but it doesn't replace the experience or give the full weight as engaging with the work of art itself. I highly recommend you watch the video.

I have finished the Exapnse first book. What a great book! Really enjoyed it and see why people think its Mass Effect. It effectively has the same structure as ME1 but the reveal is stretched out a lot more.

I think what really makes Dragon Age stories really good is the desire to see a better outcome. You can see where it all went wrong. If that moment was different. If it was changed then everything would have been so much better. Its what makes these stories so captivity.

Its surprising how little at fault BioWare is and how literal no fault the DA team is. Their is probably some stuff here and there but the vast majority of it is not their fault. Fuck EA man.

When The Missing was made they had to have known the design for the darkspawn changed but kept up these designs because that would be consistent with the lore. And I like that. Welcome home you weird looking ogre.

Honestly for me it would just be working on BioWare. I love BioWare RPGs and I would just make them until the sun explodes. A BioWare RPG of Halo? Yes! A BioWare RPG of Game of Thrones? Yes!

Yeah. Its not just the executives but its the people in the hobby as well. Gamers have a shockingly lack of respect for the people who make their games.

Its ultimately they dislike what is going on and want to vent about it. But on some level they know that venting is just a thing people do. They want to feel legitimized. That their grievances aren't just them venting but some crisis that is going on. Then they become a warrior fighting for good.

I am a BioWare shill. This is in order of what I think the best BioWare games are. Dragon Age Origins is just an amazing game and I would love to see more like it. And ME1 is the best Mass Effect game to me. I also genuinely think BioWare has made no bad games.

You have no idea how much I want another Dragon Age Origins. Not BG3. That's not DAO. Not by a long shot. I mean an actually successor to the game where I can play six different openings that are all an hour long and literally just everything else. Oh how I want it.

I absolutely love Emmerich. He is just the best. And this is really just a turning point for the game. Where it feels so much more focused and feels so much more like a Dragon Age game.

Exploring the consequences of saving Treviso. Seeing all the Shadow Dragons being hanged and killed is just so gruesome. And how the city changes. The guards look very different and everyone has a feeling of suspicion on them. Everyone is thinking they might be next.

Enjoyed my time with Veilguard. Did the "Peace, In Vigilance" questline and it really is a turning point in the game. It just feels so much more like Dragon Age.

Veilguard has some amazing monster designs. It sucks the Revear wasn't given more of a cinematic moment like the ghouls. Just imagine it. A slow pan towards this monster as you see its limbs twitching and grasping behind.

I can't remember the year I started to play Dragon Age but I know I started with Dragon Age Origins. I remember what the logo and the level screen looked before the patch. I remember the Duncan darkspawn vial glitch and the attribute glitch. So, I think I may be a veteran.

Really like how my Rook turned out. The game is going well too. Still some issue like the reason we go to Treviso but I do love seeing how everyone avoids talking about Varric's death. Like they don't want to dwell on it because of how awful it is.

Really happy with how my Rook and Inquisitor turned out. I spend a long time trying to get my Inquisitor right. In DAI he has a bushier bread and looks a but more round in the face and has larger eyes but this is good enough. I am enjoying the game a lot.

At least we have these now. Better late than never right?

Finally finished my script for my Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 video. Just need to go through it one more time and then I will be done with it. The video is going to be 40 minutes long and its is going to be about the game's music. I enjoyed doing this script.
