I suspect that the Powers That Be looooove AI because it disengages your brain and softens your thinking. Your free thought, your imagination, gets unplugged and into the socket, the AI node goes. And they control that node. Which means they control your mind. So: they start with kids.

AI education in schools? Absolutely. Kids should know the risks of engaging with AI technology since we know they will be at some point. They should know how it interacts with delusional thinking, suicidal thinking, other kinds of mental illness. They should know it’s designed to be sycophantic.

What’s so brazen is that the subhead literally spells out the travesty. It says that tech industry lobbyists have convinced congress to pay for their products to be made a compulsory part of public education so that when the industry wreaks havoc on American workers it can be blamed on educators.
