The more mediums and art forms you learn, the more you understand about them all collectively. Sculpting will give you a deeper understanding of drawing, sewing clothes changes how you sense form, etc

If you want to get better at drawing people fast the Morpho books are going out their weight in gold. If I had to recommend just one to newbies I would say this one: Simplified forms
