I just finished a video project where I interviewed dozens of players & coaches who were inducted into their high school hall of fame. One through-line: the connection between teammates + clear team identity. If you think that can’t happen in your team, who are you to under-believe?

Diversify your sources of meaning. If your sport or job is the be-all end-all of your life, you are making yourself fragile. Any failure becomes an attack on your self-worth & status. All-in looks good on social media. A robust sense of self works better in real life.
