I went back and played some Supermarket Sim and TCG Card Shop Sim from fresh save files and it really taught me that a lot of these sim games try to do so much in early access that they really end up wrecking the early game tutorials and late game curves for the grind. Neither holds up for me.

A decade ago I gave up on the Bloodborne The Old Hunters DLC cause it was too hard for me and today I finally completed it all without leveling a single time. This is probably the hardest Souls low level challenge I've done so far. Just two final bosses left to complete and I'll be fully done.

Just found my official Turok 2 strategy guide where they essentially gave up at the end before finishing.

Well after having it running on my second monitor pretty much all weekend I just finished Horripilant. Unbelivably cool and fresh incremental game meets point and click horror. A little grindy, but so many fresh ideas to the genre. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Thinkin about the time I tried to make a fake OS for one of my first game projects - I was far over my head but there is something about it that gives early Flash vibes. It has to be one of the worst coded things I've ever done. But it's still nice to look back and figure out the growth since.

Excited to play a bunch of Next Fest demos for streams this week. New policy this year is I'm vetoing any game with an AI disclosure. Just too many interesting releases to be focused on those. Do wish I didn't have to scroll to the bottom of the Steam description each time to see which have one.

Finally went out and got some shelving so the majority of my games aren’t just sitting in boxes for me to dig through every time I’m looking for something. Still have a second overflow shelf but we’ll work on that later.

These games are so great if you haven't played the first it's also on Steam for free but Strange Jigsaws is also worth the price of admission!

I worked hard for this mastery - classic DDR timing is way more brutal than I remember and it really made me realize how much speed settings (which weren’t implemented until the PS2 releases) changed the game.

Been replaying Dance Dance Revolution Konamix which was the first DDR game I owned back in the day and just playing it even with a regular controller I can smell the plastic dance mat. Kind of wild.

Been working through the GBA Castlevania trilogy for the first time since they were new-ish. Getting near the end of Circle of the Moon and it was a lot harder than I remember. The drop rates seem a bit insane yet it’s still a banger.

Yes, I’ve beaten many Souls games at level one. No, I probably will never reach the nuclear throne.

Heroes of Might and Magic III is still so much fun - I cannot wait for Olden Era!
