So happy that the pollinator friendly flowers I’ve planted are attracting the butterflies.

In Chinese culture, the dragon (loong) and phoenix (fenghuang) can symbolise justice and loyalty, especially in the imperial household. When seen together, they represent opposing and balancing forces. This is reflected in FFXVI when the Phoenix rises to quell Bahamut’s rampage.

His sexual orientation was also handled extremely well. He was fully developed in his own right, and the fact that he was gay was made clear, but was also not treated as if it were any different than any other characteristic about him. He was treated by the narrative equal to the Rosfield brothers.

Dion was absolutely one of the driving forces for the narrative in the latter half of FF16, and literally my only complaint about FF16 was that he was never actually utilized as a party member. It was a shame since he was vital to the plot AND a fully developed character with his own story arc.
