Most minor thing, but a thought that has now gotten into my brain: Has trump ever addressed the nation with 'My Fellow Americans'? Everything I can find is 'Thank you very much' or even one weird one where he just opens with 'I am Donald Trump' and waits for applause (to a quiet room).

Huh, seem to have found a repeatable issue with embedded YouTube on bsky. If on your just general feed ( not lists, not discover, etc) someone embeds a yt vid, on desktop you can play it/pause/etc, but you can't fullscreen it. You can with bs videos, tt, and if you click into the post, though.

God, remember when the first step to fixing a problem was 'Okay, lemme just run the software updates'? Now that feels like the absolute worst step to take, only in case of emergency or failed functionality.

Social interaction was better in general when it was really weird and rude to take out your phone around other people, and when it wasn't considered weird to bring a book instead if you were alone.

I was originally going by the name Ogun, and then @neolithicsheep.bsky.social actually just greeted me (in an online text format) with 'Oggie' (this was...28 or so years ago? I'm old) and it just gradually became my diminutive/nickname, and mostly what I default to nowadays. Nothing else stuck.
