Most techies who don't understand testing much treat it like an algorithmic problem waiting to be automated. That's where the classic "human" vs "tool" problem begins. However, the real testing rhythm comes from "heuristics". Too much focus on test cases or scripts at start defeats the purpose.

If we have the ability to identify improvements in a specific task We can leverage AI tools to make the improvements faster. If we don't have that ability, AI tools can also make it worse!

I was thinking about test case depth this morning. The real challenge is to get the right balance in test cases. Too short and the other tester reading it is left to find details for themselves. There is no right or wrong answer, we have to know what we are opting for. It's like buying a car!

Psychology Hack: Verbalizing our challenges tricks our brains into finding solutions. If you are stuck with a challenge, write about it in a forum or blog or wiki or doc or prompt or chat message Don't keep it with yourself. Once you externalize it out of your mind, it's no longer your own problem

It’s funny how people struggle with the idea that community and business can co-exist. We have to be totally capitalist driven OR community driven. The magic is balancing the two, that’s what I strive for. The more success we have as a business, the more we can invest back into the community!
