I've been working on the Historic Village at Caraquet. I kind of upgraded the chapel. The RL one is a bit plain. My ancestor built it, so as the family matriarch, I can do renovations. :D

I have been working on an AI genealogy indexing system all week. It is not great on facts yet.. But I discovered it is great at writing stories and songs. I described myself in this scene, and it wrote a french folk song about me. Wausek is Mi'kmaq for flower, and how I translate my name.

I spent the morning writing my first RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) system for our in-house AI. I tokenized the entire Outworldz script library of thousands of useful OpenSim scripts, into a vector database. This makes a very large dataset readily available and searchable by an AI chatbot.

I am glad I hit the grocery store this morning. A ton of stuff was on sale. I completely filled my freezer to the top with chicken breast, tilapia, 5 turkeys, sausage, chicken patties and pizza! $170!! Bills are paid way ahead. I am officially in hunker-down mode till March or April! 🙂

I am trying to figure out my family. Before 1755 its well documented that my family had excellent relations and intermarriage with the Mi'kmaq in Acadia. My ancestor Alexis stayed and fought alongside the Mi'kmaq against the English for several years. Then something changed.

Looking forward to visiting Canada. I am trying to figure out my family. I join Mi'kmaq and Metis groups, and it's blonde people calling each other "pretendians". I honestly think I will get better information just laying my hands on a rock. The rock does not have a fragile personal narrative. :p

Winter project: Our virtual Acadie will be a tri-lingual community based on shared Acadian and Mi'kmaq history. Partly grounded in fact, but also with a mythological and "what-if" element, and our own flavor of Chiac! :) I think it will be really fun. My heart lives there already <3

I started filling out the Caraquet village. This section is NOT going to be accurate, but is kind of a blend of all the large Acadian towns like Shediac, different historic periods. The Historic Acadia museum in RL Caraquet is like that too. A mix of different centuries and areas represented.

Introducing Monsieur Jean LeBlanc! I am working on an AI chat system that does a fair job of simulating the Chiac dialect of French, spoken in parts of Canada. He is fun and flirty. Quite knowledgeable about the Caraquet NB area. And we talked about eating lobster like we were having sex. lol

I made a little self-contained marina that I can place all around the grid, so everyone can easily find a boat. They can shop for their favorite boat on a little vendor board. And did it all naked.. cuz it's not SL, and I can. lol

I am running a day cycle, which slowly morphs different skies over time. Sometimes I look up from what I am doing, and am blown away. Every moment is unique. 🙂 in #opensim and #secondlife

The new skin applier in progress. I am laying out the buttons. The 8 up top will be sets of normal maps, to provide muscle tone and other details. You will be able to change the old style bump and specular textures as well as create PBR materials.. And different nail colors and patterns.

Beach paradise region I started working on last night. This would cost me over $8000/mo to do this in SL on this scale (36 regions) It will have surfing, dancing, horseback riding and am thinking a ski area and observatory in the mountains. :)

Our beautiful new place in #secondlife along Rte 12. We've had a ton of visitors and have been super busy. I bought a 1024m parcel, and fell in love with it, so I bought another across the street to keep our beautiful view. I made that a wooded lot, with a hillside campfire overlooking ocean.

New tool I created. Laurentide ice sheet Simulator! 😃 It works like my forest tool, except it drops random boulders all over the landscape. In a second sweep, it fluffs them out, randomly resizing and rotating them. It's a trip. It looks like invisible giants are bowling with boulders. 😃
