God, I don't think there's a single thing going on in the world that isn't going to make my stress levels sky-rocket.

Trying to rebuild my writing habit. I'm currently writing a sequel to a story which crashed and burnt on release. This story really isn't for readers, it's for me. I want to give my characters a HEA, not just a HFN.

I feel deflated.

I’ve spent the last hour or so working on notion instead of writing. I refuse for AI to figure this shit out. How do I learn otherwise?

I'm trying to figure out a writing schedule. I had a pretty good one when I was on holiday from work. Now I'm back the schedule pretty much crashed and burned.

I suspect a majority of content creators for TikTok were American. Banning the app will have a knock on effect for everyone who enjoyed their content or those who monetised their work and a majority of their audience was in American. Ouch. That’s got to hurt. #tiktok #tiktokban

It’s Sunday. Which means I need to drag myself out for a run. Don’t get me wrong. I enjoy running but I’ve been fighting this bug since Thursday. Slow and steady. That’s all I need to do.

32 pages left to edit and I'm listening to pop instrumentals inspired by bridgeton. My son's still asleep and I need to sort out lunch. Tomorrow is the deadline.

Fought against the urge to go get a takeaway. All the bills went up this month and we have food in the fridge.

It’s Friday. I’ve been really good at keeping myself healthy but I also work in education. It was only a matter of time before a bug hit me.

ten chapters to go. I'm trying to edit two chapters a day, with the idea to be finished on Sunday.

I have twelve chapters left to edit and a deadline of January 19th. I've grouped the chapters together over the course of the week so I won't be overwhelmed.

I'm taking part in a boycott of all things Meta starting on the 19th. A lot of us have had enough of that toxic garbage pile.

It's Saturday, which means it's balancing adult stuff (cleaning) with writing. I've got 870 words done and now I need to sort the laundry out and probably put more on.

I cut down on social media and then popped onto Meta/Facebook. Big mistake. For every post by a friend, there's six adverts and Facebook shorts in my feed and so much bloody AI images masquerading as something real. Blocked one account and then another appeared in my feed with the same image.

We’re in the final one and a bit weeks before the holidays hit. I was quite happy when I took this job and it was term time only. I even felt bad for my coworkers. Then it hit me. I’m tied to specific dates that I can have off. Those guys aren’t, they have a lot more freedom than me.

I haven’t put up any Christmas decorations yet. Am I the only one?

It’s my birthday today. My partner made me dinner and our son got me a book light. No books this year but I do have 6 on my TBR list.

My son is learning Spanish for GCSEs. I’m learning Spanish because I thought it would be a good way to encourage him. At the moment it seems to be working to keep him engaged.

I’m 41 years old on Friday. Some days I feel 21, full of snark and wit. Other days I feel 61, popping joints and grumpy disposition. There is no in between.

Can someone tell me to get back to work? I’m procrastinating.

I’m a pantser or at least I used to be. For this story I’m writing to a loose plan, short story beats.

There was snow this morning. Now it’s wet and cold. Brrrr.

I should be cooking but I’m planning my next story first. I’m always looking up the three act structure, so figured I might as well write it down and put in on the office wall.

Been a productive day. 1.5K written and 5K run. Also, all the other daily things which turn out to be mum duties.

It’s a grey skies kind of day. I don’t plan on doing anything, kind of day. Except write. Definitely going to make time for that.
