first trial run with the wheelchair out in the wild today I forgot that the sidewalks here are all slightly slanted for water runoffs 🫠🫠 My shoulders and wrists are sore, but I was helped a lot by kind strangers along the way, and I learned a lot about what to do next. (time to make adjustments)

my new wheelchair arrived today. When I finally unpacked it and sat in it for the first time, I got overwhelmed with grief and cried. I held off buying one for 3 years, out of sheer denial. But, my lumbar and leg muscles have been hypertonic since Ch.1 ended: no denying it now. (+)

Growing up, I'd always be hurtfully confused whenever my parents would tell me to "just forget" something that had hurt me. In the Western context, we'd use the term, "let [it] go". In Asian languages, we use the verb "to forget". But, with the expectation that you understand the brevity of it. (+)

Finally understanding my physical thresholds. It requires a 3-day wknd just to prep, but my days can be longer, and I can spend more energy creating than doing errands or preparing meals. 24-hour weeks for now. But, I hope to be able to hold 32 hours this year! (And if I can't... that's ok)

I made things more complicated than it needed to be again because I didn't trust myself 🥲 (why did I look at five different fan-interpretations of a song when I could just reference the original track with the vocals inverted out???) Sometimes, the "hardest" route is actually the easiest 🫠
