Math Lab Hours for 09/16/2025 The West Sac Math Lab will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, September 16, 2025 from approximately 10:30am-11:30am for scheduled meetings. The lab will be open from 10am-10:30am and then again from approximately 11:30am-3pm. This means that Zoom will open at approx 11:30am.

Albert Einstein (1879-1955) Einstein was not actually a mathematician, but a physicist who studied gravity & motion. While he wasn't a mathematician, his astronomical & cosmological formulas led to the discoveries of black holes, the A-bomb, & quantum physics. (He wasn't a quantum physicist)

Maryam Mirzakhani (1977-2017) Maryam was an Iranian mathematician whose work changed the field of multidimensional hyperboloids. She was the first Iranian & woman to win a Field Award. In 2017, at the age of 40, she succumbed to breast cancer, leaving behind a legacy in the field of mathematics.
