🧠 The year started great with the TNC’s first talk by Attempto Award winner Dr. Philipp Klocke. He presented his work on freezing of gait in Parkinson’s disease, revealing abnormal activity in the subthalamic nucleus and highlighting the potential of adjusted deep brain stimulation.

Recap of the semester start: We kicked off this semester with the “Newbie Retreat” to welcome the incoming first-year cohort! During an exciting weekend filled with hiking, bonfires, and great conversations, everyone had the chance to get to know each other beyond the classroom.

As part of the recent Neurocolloquium series, Dr. Flavio Donato (University of Basel) discussed the reinstatement of forgotten infantile memories, and Dr. Susanne Wegmann (DZNE Berlin) presented the causes and consequences of neuronal Tau protein 'activation'. Two very distinct and insightful talks!

🗣️The last Neurocolloquium welcomed Chris Easthope Awai, Chief Scientific Officer at the Lake Lucerne Institute. Thank you for an insighful talk on systemic challenges in neurorehabilitation and the critical role of data infrastructure in enabling personalized, AI-supported care.
