Wildly different things, tasks, techniques, subspecialties being lumped into "AI" and then being conflated with each other, doesn't help. Different types of models vs the techniques to train them vs the tasks they are supposed to accomplish, all under "AI".

Yesterday, the AI Plan was published in the Netherlands, primarily from a corporate perspective. I want to propose a critical alternative, it is yet again a technology push without including the perspective of society at large. It does not include any critical AI literature and practice

My mantra: If young people organise themselves, if they take hold of every branch of knowledge and fight alongside workers and the oppressed, there will be no escape for an old order based on privilege and injustice. Instead here we contest the wish of more plurality in academia. 🤡
