77) Pixygarden A beautiful game where you terraform planets by raising gardens of fairies! You arrange items to generate mana which results in a mini diorama/picture book kind of look. You can evolve the fairies and collect detailed illustrations. It's a slow, soothing game that's nice to look at.

66) TRUE REMEMBERENCE trueremembrance.insani.org When reading jp blogs, this one pops up often with fond words. A doujin visual novel about a world where there's a depression epidemic and people call Mnemocides are sent to help them. Cozy and tearful. It's a good read for the winter season.

56) Community Pom This one has been more popular thanks to an english patch, but still! Look at how cute it is! An adorable ARPG where you raise rabbit-like Poms! The world is colorful and so is the cast, plus the ost is very unique. Like no way is that a Doopee Time sample.

53) Little Shaker An adorable ARPG where you play as a little boy with a lil' shaker (lol) to combine items and solve puzzle! The world is like a magical America kinda thing with lots of people to talk to. Making friends increases your HP. Cute, cute, cute.

44) Addie no Okurimono: To Moze from Addie Named for the really very good movie Paper Moon, this puzzle adventure game is about a little girl who goes to a strange world in order to unravel the mystery behind her friends. You change objects in the world by using a machine to rotate/swap letters.

40) Pangya I feel like this one is known all over but I need to tell you: There is a private server, it works, it's real, thank God. Anime Golf. Chill music. Endless dress up. Best game ever made, as far as I'm concerned.

30) Fairyland Online Yes I'm mentioning an MMO because yes you can still play it on private servers (first screenshot is my character, actually)! An old, crusty, whimsical turn based rpg mmo where you collect monsters in a fairy tale world. It has this claymation look, which is CUTE!

26) AIR RADE AIR + SUMMER My favorite shmup. A fangame of the visual novel AIR, you can play as the main cast and FLYYY away into the sky to shoot, shoot, shoot! Has an interesting punching mechanic to knockback enemies. Cute art, awesome remixes, so cool. I heard the devs hate touhou, apparently?

23) Pokora and the Mysterious Forest lizsoft.jp/pokora/index... Another super adorable Lizsoft game about a lil' girl named Natsumi who runs around really fast to round up these creatures called "Pokora"! Very Totoro vibes. The animations are so cute, I couldn't stop playing.

22) Doki Doki Poyatchio An adventure game where you're a little boy named Jean who works delivering bread in a cozy rural town! Between the errands you can explore and meet with the cute girls, who all have their own schedules. It's fun to replay since there are so many events. Slow living bliss~

17) Moon Whistle www.moonwhistle.org/mwxp/index.h... Munhoi is an Earthbound + Dragon Quest inspired rpg maker game about a little boy named Zenon in an 80's Japanese suburb looking for his favorite hero X-Ranger. A game that seems innocent enough, but catches you in the end. A treasure of an rpg.

11) Pandora no Yume One of, not the first, timeloop visual novel! Yuito and his art club friends discover a strange doll during summer camp when an earthquake occurs... and everything repeats? Bgs fade, music breaks. A very messed up story that plays with its format as reality wears down.

8) The Legend of Sword and Fairy These games are actually well-known classics in taiwan + mainland china with tons of cdramas. But did you know you can play an english patched version of the DOS original? Romance! Adventure! Silly boy swag! A breezy, sweet rpg I would suggest to anyone!
