I was watching 46 years ago today for the Miracle on Ice victory. I was watching two days later for the Sunday morning Gold Medal victory against Finland. Totally different circumstances today, but I felt the same pride and exhilaration for the United States win over Canada. I love this game!

I’m old(er), I’m retired. An Olympic Gold Medal hockey game between the US and Canada at 8:10 AM? Oh, just bring it!

When I finally got the chance to broadcast in the NHL for @njdeviis.bsky.social my first color announcer was Fred Shero, and my second was Larry Brooks. Rest in peace Larry. You made me better and I am forever grateful.

It’s funny —- here there is an all encompassing national #NoKings rally involving millions from coast to coast. Over on the diminishing hellscape known by a letter, there isn’t. Funny how that works out.

I enjoy watching golf on TV —- especially the Majors. I do not enjoy watching the best players in the world struggle to make par. Just don’t get the allure of it. #usopen

My grandson, Parker, reminds me how I first came to love sports. And reminds us all to let kids be kids.

It’s always a matter of degrees. I really like Brandon Carlo and Brad Marchand. I dislike @mapleleafs but I really hate @flapanthers — so I fine myself rooting for Toronto. And I need a shower.

Adolescence on @netflix.com is a perfect work of art. From the story, to the acting, to the mind blowing technical artistic expertise I just don’t know how it could be done any better. It jarred me.

I am proud and happy to be a part of this event. Hope to see Bruins fans on Sunday.

Weird hockey day. First the Bruins shutout the Lightning, and now I’m watching Brandon Carlo play for the Maple Leafs against Charlie Coyle for the Avalanche. Weird day.

45 years ago today was the single greatest sports moment of my lifetime. Honored to know so many of these guys.

Not sure who decided at the NHL to replace Todd Angilly on the National Anthems tonight but I think it was a bad decision. Just my opinion.

I can’t stop thinking about Charlie McAvoy playing the way he did against Canada AFTER being hurt against Finland. Truly a remarkable performance in the Four Nations Cup.

As a true blue hockey fan I actually feel sorry for those who are watching the NBA All Star crap and not this Four Nations game between USA and Canada. Gonna be hard to get to sleep after this one.

I don’t ever want to watch another NHL All Star Weekend. Not after watching this kind of hockey.

Canadian NBA and NHL fans have begun booing the American National Anthem before games. So much for the “shut up and dribble” crowd.

He probably won’t remember —- but I will. The day Parker got to see what “Boppa” did for a living.

I’m embarrassed to admit this, but over the holiday break I finally watched Interstellar, and it is now one of my favorite movies of all time. Better late than never.

Two titles and the man who delivered them —- along with countless thrills to hockey fans everywhere.

Let’s just say this was never on my Christmas wish list. But I’m so grateful for the opportunity. May your holidays be as full as mine.

Been following the Boston Bruins for a long time now. Can’t remember the last time I saw them dead last in the NHL on the power play. The team looks lost right now.

Strolling around Porto this Fall, and saw this woman taking her falcon out for a walk. He seemed nice.

I was today years old when I learned that Kiefer Sutherland is bringing back Jack Bauer and I am totally here for it.

I certainly like it here much more than the other place, and not looking any gift horses in the mouth, but an easier iPad working experience would be welcome and much appreciated.

I think I’ve “tweeted” for the final time. It should have happened long ago, but the post-election rhetoric and the updated terms of service that Elon is instituting on Friday has clinched it. And for me Threads is hanging on by one too. Prefer this and hope we can continue to have nice things.

I have written three books about the National Hockey League. Tough Guys has just been released in paperback. Book number four will be out in 2025.
