Big Mama and Lou had so much drama potential. I always sort of wished we got her side of the story on how their past went down. Splinter’s story always seemed suspiciously one sided to me. I feel like perhaps there was a lot more manipulation going on than a simple “lock him up and make him fight.”

Frida character study based off Andy Suriano’s “Farewell” comic. Added an exposed heart as a twist inspired by a real life issue for turtles as well as an ode to her namesake, Frida Kahlo. It tore open during her mutation, but Big Mama uses mystic wards to keep her heart safe & emotionally numb.
