Spent the past month gradually going through Gurren Lagann for the first time, and just finished it. Holy shit, I get it now.

Finally caught up with Deltarune now that I've beaten chapter 4. It just keeps getting better. Story was by far the most impactful so far, and so many great moments. Jackenstein, the Hammer of Justice, and the Titan were probably some of the game's best bosses in a game full of great bosses. 1/?

Beat Deltarune chapter 3 last night. Minigames were really fun, Tenna's a really good character, and the Knight was hell. I did my Knight attempts today, and it took me a collective 2.5 hours or so of gameplay with a break midway through. Good time overall.

I just had the dumbest thought. The one live action Scooby-Doo scene where Shaggy gets slapped a couple times, responding with "I needed that," "I needed that too," and "YOU'RE PUSHING YOUR LUCK SCOOB," but replace Shaggy with Tenna. The old TV man needs some percussive maintenance.

Been playing through Deltarune recently because it's become my current hyperfixation again. Played chapter 1 last week after only finishing it when the Switch port released in 2019. Was fun to refresh myself on the early story. Actually got more emotion out of me now than it did seven years ago. 1/?

So FRLG being ported to Switch turned out to be real. Pretty happy they're standalone releases instead of being part of NSO because fuck subscription services, but seeing as I will probably get more out of just emulating the games than this official rerelease I'm in no rush to buy them.

Been giving Pokemon Violet another try, since the only time I played it was back at launch. Did the sequence break and am exploring as much of Paldea as I can without Miraidon. Been pretty fun actually, taking in the region and music.

HOLY FUCK I AM FINALLY FREE FROM THIS DREADED CAVE! AFTER EIGHTY HOURS AND SIX WEEKS I FINALLY FOUND ME A SHINY! I don't even care tat it's not a Bronzor, I just wanted to get SOMETHING while I had Mira with me. Got a golden rock.

For the past six weeks I've been shiny hunting in Pokemon Diamond's Wayward Cave because Mira lets you encounter two mons at once. I've sank 75 hours into this hunt so far and nothing. I can only imagine how Mira feels being dragged behind a madman for weeks because he wants a sparkly green Bronzor.

Started a shiny badge quest in SoulSilver, and managed to get a shiny Totodile in only 186 resets. Am planning on getting all three starters in general, but I didn't expect to get my actual goal so fast.

Finally beat Undertale for the first time, after a decade of observing the community and seeing people piece together the lore. It really is a special game. Still need to get the true pacifist and genocide endings, which I can do later.

Starting to fall down the Paradox Live rabbit hole. God the music is so good! Don't remember the last time music has clicked with me so strongly.

FInally managed to beat the DLC a couple days ago. Rayquaza was a pretty fun fight that I had to just nuke with Mega Zygarde. I still stand by the DLC being a bit of a grindy mess, got burned out for a bit trying to unlock the Rayquaza battle, and I feel it makes the overall game worse.

Planning for a badge quest video I'm feeling rather enthusiastic about, and I'm playing a couple other Pokémon gaes first to help in that project. Hopefully I'll see it through to the end, as I keep losing steam on everything I want to do.

Kinda falling off with Pokémon Legends ZA's DLC. Way too much arbitrary grinding to advance the plot. The main game did a lot of this too with the challenge tickets, but it felt more natural since your mons were gaining levels throughout.

I just beat Pokémon Legends ZA. It was the most fun I've had with a new game in the series since ORAS a decade ago. It has its flaws, but it's instantly become my favorite Switch Pokémon game. It'll take me a few weeks, but I can't wait to make my video on it.
