dedicate ten years to the hobbies you want to cultivate and enjoy the day by day of working on them in short incremental goals and then putting then aside each night to read a book or watch something nice or play something fun with friends

Gregor Samsa should have eaten his wretched family and flown away free on his veined wings away from that horrid city.

years ago i read a early early science fiction story that was written in like the 18th (maybe 19th)? century and is about a chinese student in the year 400000 (or some other insanely large number) visiting futuristic russia and going to balls with people wearing crazy dresses that change colour

i love to think about this: history will last forever (effectively) and is getting longer and longer. There will probably be metropolitan railway networks celebrating 300 year anniversaries. Chances are most stuff held in a museum will stay preserved for like thousands more years

i like to give myself time... Next year i will probably begin a whole new era of life in countless ways. Hopefully i'll have already started it, in fact. Anyway i have some new years resolutions set out for next year: -start making a game or 3d modelling or something -create plushies

the purple witch... photoshop 6 (released 26 years ago) works quite well. I decided to try it out because i wanted to have a simple ish paint program that lets you use layers... My favourite part is that is doesn't take 5 mins to start up and my pc doesnt jump to 500% cpu usage whenever i open it

its hard to understand the perspective of the average american bc they live in a world where 99% of their cultural production is centred on them in their language talking about them in their cities and they normally just never hear anything else

i share the popular frutiger aero enthusiasm, but i also distinctly remember and finding it garish, offputting, and inescapable when it was everywhere. For instance in all the time i had windows 7 i always used the 'classic' (win98 style) theme bc the default just looked ugly to me
