Hah, the Hallmark Christmas movie that came after it showed the different approach quite well. OK, that's my mission this Christmas Run-Up - hunt down and find as many non-Hallmark Christmas movies as I can take, and add the good ones to our Christmas Film Alerts List.

So, on Channel 5 right now, "Much Ado About Christmas" is playing, and it's actually shaping up quite nicely. It's a Canadian movie, rather than a Hallmark movie, and the different vibe is very apparent - much more British, much less saccharine, and full-on festive.
