1/2: Good news for Washington: We’ve secured an agreement with the U.S. Department of Education protecting about $1.4 billion that funds equal access to education for students from low-income families, children with disabilities, English learners, and other students across the state.

The alleged violations by MultiCare show a wanton disregard for ethics and the medical principle to do no harm. This settlement is a win for patient safety and protecting public dollars to get people necessary healthcare. Happy to work with federal prosecutors to get this outcome for Washingtonians.

We filed suit against several companies that illegally operate unlicensed gambling apps that have taken more than $225 million dollars from Washingtonians since 2020. They have repeatedly violated Washington law, engaged in deceptive practices, and even marketed themselves to children.

Black History Month honors the achievements, resilience, and leadership of Black communities. Over the past year, our federal government has removed webpages, plaques, and anything else that acknowledges the contributions or struggles of people of color.

1/3: Our office is working with legislators to close loopholes in the law that have allowed unscrupulous third parties to gain control of and profit off of strangers’ estates.

Last summer, our office launched a Data Privacy survey for Washingtonians. With over 700 responses, the message was clear – Washingtonians are overwhelmingly dissatisfied with the current state of data privacy policies and practices in Washington.

This morning another person was killed in Minneapolis by federal immigration agents. People are being killed in the street, and with no investigation Trump and Noem have already concluded the federal agent acted in self defense.

A court ruled this week that Oregon doesn’t need to hand over their residents’ personal data to the federal government under the administration’s latest scheme to undermine voting rights. It’s a big win for that state and it’s also good news for our ongoing elections case.
