I've been pretty quiet about toxic behaviours in SL's Sonic community amongst creators, both relatively large and small in its own bubble. I've spoken up before when one of them attempted to steal a character of mine under what was basically, lies. Time to speak about the whole thing?

What drives me to make stuff? Rebellion. Sometimes it's against people or opinions, other times it's seeing something and wanting new experiences out of it. What many don't realize, is when they try to harm those efforts, I come back swinging harder. Don't let people stop you from creating art.

In other news, weighing in a little on the Attie stuff: A lot of people have blocked the account simply as an outcry towards the use of AI. For those that don't know, Attie vibe codes feeds for you. For those excusing that, there is a reason why Windows 11 feels worse than it used to.

Sometimes it's important to understand that even your personal enemies are human, too. Despite how one (or many) may feel about you, it is important not to kick people when they are down. If said people read this, I hope things get better for you.

Probably not-so-hot take: Bellisseria's commercial plots in #SecondLife don't make a lot of sense. Getting storefronts in mainland is pretty cheap and you pay Premium Plus subscription prices in the /hope/ you might claim one of these plots for... Another satellite location? Just go rent a store.

So I'm starting my journey of seeing what it's like being a new avatar in SL. Why does the first sim you have recommend items from PirateSoftware (for those that don't know it's Maldavius Figtree)? XD

I'd like to do a bit of a social experiment on #SecondLife: Start a new, fresh account on SL. Use the tools as how a new user would be expected to use them, and visit worlds without paying for content. I want to see how people will react to this and find out if the space is hostile to new people.

I never want to actually make stuff for serious profit in Second Life because HOOOOLY crap there are some disgusting individuals out there that get an audience because they make stuff. No thanks, lol.

People seem to think AI in #SecondLife can be a form of creative experimentation. I don't understand why. You didn't create that image, you prompted it. An algorithm made that image, and it was trained by other people's work without their consent using third-world countries to label the data.
