Everything feels against small artists lately as Česká Pošta went nuts and decided to charge 25€ for all of the packages under 1kg starting in 2026. I don't know if there is a point in me keeping online shop anymore bcs who is going to pay triple of a product price for the shipping of a small print.

The year is 2035. There are three game studios left. Each one produces a game every 10 years, killing 250+ developers in the process. They all accidentally make the same game because they used genAI in preproduction. They sell 500 million units each, missing quarterly targets. Everyone is laid off.

The amount of artist that will draw you a full illustration for a book cover for less than 250$ is staggering. They should be charging more, sure, but with the market as it is, they cannot really afford it. Saving up for a big commission is a perfectly normal thing to do, too. It's not that hard.
