Great @fullersjohn.bsky.social (free) tasting of Fullers Vintage Ales in The Admiralty tonight ranging from 2025 to 2006. 2014 was my favourite version but the 2025 was pretty good too. A bit of light relief after #borefts2025

Normal service was resumed for day 2 #borefts2025 as we were near front of queue. Another tradition has held up in that it’s raining today! 🍻🌧️ 😏

After a crappy start to the morning, it’s joyous to be back at #borefts, tainted of course with sadness as it’s the last one 😢. Peri and Oberon are a bit bemused by the blue beer 🤣

Well apart from our tram breaking down the journey to Den Haag was pretty good. Rootz Bar was great especially as they had a new Cascade beer for us.

Just about warm enough to sit on our balcony for a couple of beers (starting with a not too juicy Buxton Brewery NE IPA) whilst listening to Bruce Springsteen after a very stressful two weeks 💗

Had a much needed fun night watching Hanwell Town win their first round FA cup match 1-0 in the 91st minute. Even got a selfie with Big Sam whilst repping @thedodomicropub.bsky.social

When Lucy @thedodomicropub.bsky.social issues an instruction to dress up for her presentation for Ealing and West Middx Pub of the year “like the BAFTAs” I of course obey said instruction fully and with great joy 😂💗🍺

Visited the Magritte museum this morning and really enjoyed it. Now doing some of the St Gilles bars.

After some culture this morning at the Horta museum now on the beer. Couple of places closed for summer hols but am drinking what will probably be the best value beer of the weekend in Merlo!

Off the Eurostar and in Cantillon 10 minutes later. First time for Zeum, Oberon and Mozzarella here and I think they like it.

New Thai restaurant opened near us so thought we’d give it a go. Food was delicious and i got to try durian flavoured ice cream which was different! Thai cold drinks were lovely too.

Meant to tweet earlier that we saw the cutest little girl on the train. She used her dummy as a steering wheel whilst singing “The wheels on the on the bus”. It was adorable (better than Verstappen throwing his dummy out) 🥰🤣

First stop today is Cork ‘n’ Cask in Bromley, starting on some Biddenden cider. The bears are happy as it’s nice and cool in here.

A beautiful combination tonight with a N’djua, pumpkin, Gorgonzola & caramelised onion pizza split with spaghetti with olive oil, garlic & chillies (shared between 2!). The pizza toppings are a work of genius 🥰

Just done the 10k London Legal Walk with my fab work colleagues. It’s so much fun and for a great cause. My feet definitely need a wash after walking through 3 parks. However, I was suitably refreshed thanks to @toastbrewing.bsky.social and the Seven Stars on Carey St.

My Nephew got married today and both he and his bride, Alison, look stunning. They are such a perfect couple 💗

Starting the day at Bouldr Bar the new @rockleopardbrewing.bsky.social tap room. Situated on a nice square with only outside seating at mo. More development to come means a revisit in the not too distant future. The pils is quite nice and the boys (& girl😂) are happy to be here

Brill night in Craft Beer Co, Leather Lane with @kirsteensy.bsky.social, @emilylovesbeer.bsky.social & @tania-nexust.bsky.social. Now on tube home which was uncomfortable at first but the wifi has died down 😂

Decided to do a short and simple crawl today starting in Craft Beer Co Covent Garden. As always it’s a great selection including an IPA from Alesmith x Stone which is superb.

Made it home safely. We had such a wonderful time in Portugal but it’s nice to be home and know we’ll be sleeping in our own bed tonight 🥰

Last day in Porto started with walk through Jardins Do Palacio de Crystal, then Tram museum which was fun, before some food & then to a wine bar based in an old chapel which is beautiful. The wines are delicious but Peri isn’t too happy as it’s not beer 😍

Started today at the 5D cinema for a virtual tour of Porto; then a small port tasting; boat tour; visit to the gorgeous Santa Clara Church. Stopped for lunch in Gazela where I tried the Francesinha (steak & ham s/wich covered in cheese with a fried egg & sauce) - very stuffed now, room for beer tho’

Felt quite weary after the journey from Lisbon to Porto so just a couple of bars and some food tonight. Got to try the Portuguese hot dog (Cachorrinho) in ‘a Fabrica’ brew pub on our first night though and it’s so delicious💗

Day 2 in Lisbon is a walking tour of the city, stopping off in the Cathedral. Now in first bar of the day (Crafty Corner) with a tasting flight and a bit of nosh

First full day in Lisbon has been amazing so far. Started in Pasteis de Belem, then a long walk, visit to the Combatante & Tile Museums. Now time for beer fun starting in the Fermentage tap room.

Not Peri’s normal choice of beer style but after a long day travelling to Lisbon he was just desperate 🤣

Birthday hair and nails now both done. I really love this green 🥰.

Small group this year but birthday drinks were thoroughly enjoyed, and I have a new friend called Belinda 🤣
