I returned the pickles, all other jars were also out of date. I got a jar of dill pickles without garlic instead. The dye on those was for early 2026. Pretty much all pickles are product of India right now. Not sure what that is about. Seems like a long way for pickles.

Pickles were on sale today so I got a jar. Opened them up just now, some excited for pickles. Took a bite and no crunch. Tried a second. Still squishy. Third one was soft, too. I closed up the jar and read the best before date. October 19 2023. Knows I won’t be whippin them right back!

A French boat tried to come into the province to sell sea cucumbers for less than our fishermen want to be paid for it. The processors of course would allow this, but as a province we should not! And to those foreign fishermen I ask, do you not believe you are worth more, as well?

Dad has officially switched to wire lobster pots. He’s been selling the wooden ones to people for decoration. Feels sort of sad, but they are easier to make, much easier to handle, and they fish really well. The equipment and materials cost more, but it saves time overall.

Walked into my moms house singing my little songs that I make up (I call it domestic house singing) and her house is full of men installing heat pumps. 🫣🫣🫣

I just used an online booking tool to schedule an appointment with my doctor at her clinic, the Crewe Clinic. It was so easy! I didn’t need cell phone reception to call the clinic and I can use the program to schedule an appointment anytime I think about it, instead of only during business hours.

I’m buying a quilt from my great aunt. She’s 95. It’s going to be a queen sized trip around the world. Not sure what colours but I don’t care. I missed out on the cathedral window quilt in black and white. Her grandson snapped it up.

A part of the water and sewer system is being replaced here in Come By Chance and I really want to go look in the big hole now that work has stopped for the day.

I’ve been seeing huge dark grasshoppers around lately. They make a clicking sound and have green under parts.

Baby didn’t seem to care for me much today. Not a great feeling when you are pushing 40 and have very limited experience with babies. Did I do something wrong or did she just have gas? Impossible to tell and at the same time it must have been something I was doing wrong!

I have over 90 GB of photos on my phone. The first computer I owned had a 3 GB hard drive.

I can’t say I’ve ever really watched a YouTube video before but I watched all two and a half hours of this one and learned so much.
