If we can mirror this in 2026, it takes away almost any advantage the GOP can gain from gerrymandering while adding some resilience to democracy by activating the maximum number of people around the cause of freedom.

When I wrote the book “Laboratories of Autocracy,” based on how lawless and undemocratic Ohio has become, some thought I was overstating. Nope. This was it.

This is a map drawn by people deathly afraid of fair districts…. …because they know that their ideas are so extreme and their results are so indefensible that in any fair districts, they would lose—just like they did in recent years (in 1, 9 and 13).
