I love this painting! In addition to the lovely artwork, somehow, all the birds painted by @elizabethkennen seem to have a distinct personality. This seagull evokes a sense of wisdom -- as if weathering a few storms has given it greater confidence and a fearless sense of adventure.

Joined a huge crowd at the #NoKings Rally in Walnut Creek today. It's energizing to see so many people of all ages turning out to help protect democracy.

Jimmy Kimmel: “There is nothing more American than a political protest. The American Revolution was a No Kings rally.”

Check the map and join a #NoKings peaceful protest on Saturday. Let's send a clear message to this lawless and anti-American administration!

My hope is that turnout will be massive at the #NoKings rallies, and that at least some in the media will provide accurate coverage. The GOP is trying to generate fear and lies ahead of time, and we have to keep pushing back. Democracy over dictatorship.

Watching hummingbirds can be mesmerizing -- they are the only birds able to fly backwards! As my Mom's health declined, she enjoyed looking out her window and seeing the "hummers" hovering around her hanging plants and feeders. #Nature truly has calming and restorative powers.
